On Screen mobile remote - mobile & web application
On screen mobile remote is an iOS mobile application that paired with our in-patient interactive patient care application.
My role - UX/UI Design
For this project, I was tasked with inventing a remote that worked on a users mobile device. I lead the entire product process starting from white boarding sessions, click-able wireframe prototypes, creating mockups, iconography, assisting in usability testing, and translating the requirements into an intuitive interface. This product was designed to be used on an interactive television application from a hospital bed.
My role included leading the technology team, and stakeholders.
Design Challenges
How do you design an application that a user can download from their hospital bed that can interface with their tv 6-8 feet across the room? Not only did this application have to be intuitive but had to address a large age range. Creating a mobile application would also help users that had an easier time using their mobile device than their hospital bed remote.
